20th Annual Serotonin Surge Golf Tournament
The 20th annual Serotonin Surge charity golf tournament was held at Turkey Creek in Lincoln on Wednesday, 9/27/17. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, donors, players, and volunteers, we raised $50,000 for the UC Davis School of Medicine’s affiliated student run free clinics, Cure Breast Cancer, and the Thrive Scholarship Fund. Our Co-Title Sponsors were The Permanente Medical Group, UC Davis Health, and Kaneski Associates/New York Life. Other sponsors included Ellis & Ellis Signs, Securitas, Luci Htain Regency Real Estate Services, and University Honda. Tee box sponsors were Drs. Michael Chun, Jason Flamm, Chuck Hearey, Alex Mentakis, Chris Palkowski, & Mary Pat Pauley; Professor John Labavitch; and Mr. Mike Wiethorn. We received generous donations from Dr. Kim Wiley, Mr. Alan Wong (Cafeteria 15L and Iron Horse Tavern), and Kettle Chips. Thanks to Tina Bozzini for serving as our registrar and Lesli Chuck for overseeing our meals and course snacks.
We enjoyed some spirited competition on the course. Coming in 1st with a round of 56 was the foursome of Ralph Herrera, Sam Cole, Boone Seto, Mark Maltzer; 2nd (57) Ted Wurtz, John McInnish, Jimmy Henderon, Alex Kriegshauser; 3rd (57) Tom Yee, Jack Jacques, Kirk Smith, Bill Clayton; 20th place (69) Michael Hemak, Matt Foskey, Geary Noguchi, Casey Roche.
